the rebrand launch and announcement of messy’s first event generated over 35k views and 1.5k interactions.

event marketing campaign — halloween 2024
Role: copywriter / marketing
the campaign included short-form animation, influencer marketing, $1k in giveaway prizes, and a city-wide scavenger hunt of qr codes. in 30 days, the campaign generated 339K views and 25K interactions without paid ads, leading to 700 tickets sold on one of the industry’s busiest weekends of the year.

an ode to bell hooks, all about queer love looks at love as a radical act between lesbian, queer & trans people. With gentle lighting and a minimal backdrop, the simplicity of the studio design allows the focus to remain on the participant and their story.

Role: writer / arts section editor
during the pandemic, I was a frequent contributing writer for concordia university’s student publication the link. the newspaper reaches over 40,000 students and 5,000 faculty staff every week.
in 2020 I was elected as the publications fringe arts editor, managing the section’s publication calendar, assigning articles, and editing copy to ensure editorial standards and deadlines were met.
